Our Story

It all started with Tim Berg, Sr. (aka “Alaska Tim”), who built a prestigious reputation over forty years ago as a fishing guide and lodging owner on the Kenai Peninsula.

Great Alaska Seafood started after Tim pivoted into salmon processing while leveraging his partnerships with local fishermen. The business took off thanks to Tim’s credibility and the success of his past ventures, becoming one of the best Alaskan fish companies around.

Over 25 years later, Great Alaska Seafood has Tim’s son, Tim Berg II, at the helm. Our experienced and resilient, family-run business remains dedicated to sharing the greatness of fresh, wild-caught, locally-sourced seafood to deliver a uniquely Alaskan experience. We are passionate about connecting seafood lovers to local Alaska fisheries to promote healthy eating and sustainability.
